Attention all artists, creatives, and WordPress enthusiasts! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of WordPress, the Museum of Block Art is excited to announce an open call for submissions for art inspired by this incredible milestone. This is an opportunity for folks to showcase their creativity and imagination using the features of the WordPress block editor that make it a powerful creative platform. We invite artists from all backgrounds and experience levels to submit their own WP20-inspired blocks and join us in celebrating two decades of WordPress.
The block editor in WordPress revolutionizes the way content on the web. With the flexibility of the block editor, artists can create unique and dynamic works of art using a variety of blocks. From the overall Image block to individual controls, the block editor offers endless possibilities for creative expression.

Steps to submit
The submission process is simple. Use either (or both) of the topics below for inspiration when creating your WP20-inspired blocks:
- The 20th anniversary logos
- The default themes through the years (color palette, images, etc.)
All submissions are welcome, whether you’re a pro or a beginner starting out. Submissions will be reviewed by the museum’s current panel of wonderful community members: Rachel Winchester, Rich Tabor, Tammie Lister, Ana Segota, and Anne McCarthy. The selected works will be featured in a 20th anniversary exhibit, alongside the current exhibits. We can’t wait to see the incredible art that the community will create.
